ABOUT THE SUSSEX BILTONG CO

Our biltong is all hand made from premium quality grass-fed British and Irish beef in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Craig, our biltong master, learned to make biltong in the Zambezi Valley of Zimbabwe and has been making biltong using his secret blend of herbs and spices for 30 years. We don’t prepack our biltong and only sell it freshly sliced.

Opening: Friday, 5th April at 11am - 8pm.

Regular Opening Times: Thursday, Friday & Saturday / 11am - 5pm.

Closing: Friday 31st May,

Over 18s - Viewing discretion advised.

"Seven Hang Ups"

A show titled to reflect the fact that there are seven artists showing and all of them have their own hang ups.

Richard Heslop: Is an artist, film and video director and cameraman. He has directed videos for many bands, The Cure, Happy Mondays, New Order, Sinead O'Connor, Queen, The Shamen, The Smiths, Poly Styrene, Viv Albertine, Isobel Campbell and Paul McCartney to name but a few. He worked closely with Derek Jarman, helping to film "The Garden" and "The Last Of England".

Crimson V; A dark, erotic artist, a mixed media embroidery artist who likes to push boundaries and comfort zones.

Billy Chainsaw: Is an internationally collected, British Pop Artist whose work uses a fertile mix of pulp and the arcane to engage with ideas of mortality, magic and sensuality.

Stuart Bass: A self taught artist with a passion for drawing seascapes and countryside scenes.

Using Glue: Specialises in mixed media and collage. including something he refers to as 'hack n smack', a reductionist method where a 'proper' work is assembled and then vandalised.

Vee Vee: Is a highly talented, polymath, scattergun, artistic tour de force and supplied a biography that reads... "I am art, I am here".

Natalya KD: A street photographer, film maker and musician. With a passion for capturing extraordinary moments in ordinary life. Everything is happening in the present, whether we are here or not.
